Friday 9th August
Weekly Roundup
We’ve done a brilliant thing this week that you might not ever have noticed was a thing that needed doing, and it’s fairly unexciting, but for me it’s been a bug bear for years, and I’m thrilled, when you used to place an order, and you put notes in the box at checkout, on your order confirmation email, you wouldn’t see those notes, and people would worry that their notes had disappeared into the ether, and that we couldn’t see them, and email us in a bit of an understandable panic about it.
We could see them, they came they came through on the order our end, but it created a moments worry, and that is not fun when you’re ordering jewels online. It was beyond my technical ability to fix, and I asked a couple of people if they could help, but they didn’t know, and I just couldn’t seem to solve it.
Enter our website guru Kai! Today Kai has solved this issue, so you can write notes, and for us, it won’t really change, but on your confirmation email, you’ll see them there! Buying jewellery online should be super chill, you can shop in PJs from the comfort of the sofa, and having even a moment of worry post buying isn’t fun, and now, you can just relax, knowing your order instructions have been registered. And you can see them there and if you need to change them at all, you can refer to them. I did promise it wasn’t that exciting.
On to more exciting things!! Actually this isn’t exciting, quiet the opposite, Claire, Operations Manager / Oracle is on holiday for two weeks, we’re all a bit at sea, I’m missing her dreadfully, it’s weird, we talk everyday, and I’m a bit lost without her. I am sitting on my hands not to call or text her, she needs a break from work and from us all hounding her tbh. Check back here next Friday to see how we’re all coping!
Everyone else is on and off holiday too, but fear not, dear reader, I am here, and have had all sorts of hats on this week, I did some sending, and got a bit carried away with ribbons, the pic at the top is one of the parcels that went out this week, the ribbon is from Evelyn Rowland, she’s amazing and does loads of jewellery based designs, you can find her on Instagram @getdrawnin.evelyn and she is well worth a follow, her stuffs fantastic.
i also did some photography, and that’s what we’re all here for, the jewels, stop waffling and show us some jewels already!!
And what about this for a jewel!! It’s a stunning lilacy pink no heat Ceylon Sapphire and it’s such a lovely rare colour, as nature intended it came out the ground this colour, imagine, a stone this colour, mad really, it’s beautiful. The gently scalloped double halo adds to the sheer prettiness of this ring, and it’s in a nice heavy 18ct yellow gold mount too which really works, and means it’s heavy duty enough to wear everyday, click here for more pics and all the details. More jewels!!
Aha!! More pink, this time a warm Rose pink Moganite in 18ct Rose gold, this ring is so beautiful, the pink sapphire is cooler tones, this is warmer, both are gorgeous!! Enough with the pink, what about these..
Old cut lab grown Diamond studs, 2.00ct, these are exquisite!! Made for a client this week, and they really are an absolute triumph! They’ve got lovely backs too, a lovely earring back is only known to the wearer of the earrings, but they make such a difference, they’re the difference between feeling really safe and secure, and having to check your lobes throughout the day. These are great, and are available to order in the Heritage Collection.
Righto, that’s all from me, thanks so much for bearing with while people are away, August is often a bit tricky with holidays, and we are going as fast as we can to get the orders made / sized / and on their way. Check back next week to see how we’re all getting on, and what we’ve been up to!
